FOG!! 2 March 2012

It's an annoying time of year, this. Yesterday afternoon on the Test was glorious, warm sunshine and no wind. It lulls you into s false sense of security, the belief that winter is now behind us. So we planned to walk today. And what did we get? Fog..Not mist, FOG, thick fog.

Nevertheless, after too long without a walk, we set off to the start.....and it got worse.  By the time we'd gone 5 miles visibility was down to 25 yards.

In these circumstances you can do nothing other than turn round and drive home.  Walking in fog is not pleasant, but the walk we had chosen had the complication of crossiing a couple of big fields without obvious paths towards land marks, and in this fog we wouldn't be able to see them.   Being disorientated in fogis not a good thing!  Ah well, another time......
